Swell Riders is dedicated to promoting the north coast of the Dominican Republic as a premier downwind foiling destination. Through countless exploration of the north coast, we have plotted the very best routes within a reasonable drive from Cabarete. Our goal is to help locals and our visitors have the best possible downwind experience by offering then transportation, support and top end gear.​
Cabarete
Located on the north coast of the Dominican Republic, Cabarete has long been known as a water sports town. Established in the 1980's as a great place to windsurf then reestablished in the 2000's as a kiteboarding destination. In more recent years, Brian and Manuel have foiled the local surf breaks and have completed countless downwind runs with the paddle, wing, foil assist, and parawing. In 2026, the SFT Parawing World Cup chose Cabarete as one of its event locations and the downwind race was a huge success.
